Who am I?

I am an Edmonton-born mural artist and painter with a passion for creating vibrant, community-focused public art. Since 2010, I have collaborated with fellow artist Lacey Jane under the name LALA (Lacey & Layla Art), completing over 140 murals across Canada and internationally, including in France, Honduras, Iceland, and Uganda. Our work emphasizes authentic portraiture and vivid depictions of real people, aiming to celebrate local cultures and environments.

I studied Fine Art at Grant MacEwan University and graduated with Great Distinction from Concordia University in Montreal in 2016. Throughout my career, I have been honored with several awards, including the 2021 Edmonton Artist Trust Fund Award.

Beyond murals, my artistic practice encompasses portraiture, realism, and abstract painting, all characterized by a focus on luminosity and harmonious colors. I am dedicated to fostering human connection through art, transforming public spaces into accessible living galleries that reflect and uplift the communities they inhabit.
